What is a proprietary trading company?

Proprietary Trading Company is a company which invests its own resources in a trader instead of using clients’ money.

Why do you charge a one-off fee for me to trade?

The Challenge fee mainly covers our staff, administrative/IT and platform costs. Challenge fees also allow us to accept a maximum number of traders to increase our funding for funded traders.

Can I make money trading with BigShortGroup?

With BigShortGroup you can earn your first paycheck right away after you have completed the Trading Challenge and Verification and signed an agreement with our Proprietary Trading Company.

What happens once I have made my payment?

Once payment is made, our accounts team will open an account for you with your selected broker and initial balance. You will receive an email with login information and MT5 installation link. New accounts will be delivered normally within a few hours during business days (Monday to Friday).

What instruments can I trade?

BigShortGroup Traders trade +175 products with spreads and commissions designed for proprietary trading. This includes but not limited to: FX, CFDs, Cryptos, Metals, Commodities, Stock CFDs.

What trading platforms can I use?

With BigShortGroup, you can trade using MT4. Raw Spreads starting from 0 pips and 0 Commissions – BigShortGroup Markets trading terminal has been designed to offer a technical platform for BigShortGroup Traders only.

Do you allow overnight positions?

Yes, you can keep trades overnight.

Can I use EA or robots?

BigShortGroup and its investors are mostly looking for real traders who can trade based on their own analysis and don’t rely on EA’s or trading robots. However, since our business is to find profitable traders, an exception for EA’s and trading robots might be granted by our Risk Team. In order to get such exception, please contact our Customer Support Team.

Profits and Payouts

How can I withdraw my profits?

Trader’s share of profits will be paid automatically to the Trader’s account, with preferred payment method, after the Trader has met the conditions of the funded account phase. The trader must provide profit split payout details before entering the phase 3.

When will my share of profits be paid?

All profit split payouts are processed automatically and paid to your account with a preferred payment method you have chosen after completing the BSG Trading Challenge and Evaluation.

What is a proprietary trading company?

Proprietary Trading Company is a company which invests its own resources in a trader instead of using clients’ money.
Prop trading involves using the capital of a company to trade different markets for profit. A prop trader gets a share of the profits they make on behalf of invested capital. Bigshortgroup Trading Challenge trains and evaluates traders to start trading our proprietary trading company’s capital.

Why do you charge a one-off fee for me to trade?

The Challenge fee mainly covers our staff, administrative/IT and platform costs. Challenge fees also allow us to accept a maximum number of traders to increase our funding for funded traders.
The Challenge fee is a much better way to trade large amounts of trading capital compared to using a regular brokerage. We don’t have any monthly subscription fees which means our funded traders are not pushed to reach some minimum profit targets being able to make actual profits for themselves.

Can I make money trading with BigShortGroup?

With BigShortGroup you can earn your first paycheck right away after you have completed the Trading Challenge and Verification and signed an agreement with our Proprietary Trading Company.
Before you start trading your first BigShortGroup Trader account (Phase 3), you will receive up to 50% profit split based on reach min. profit target in Verification, as a sign up commission. As the BigShortGroup Trader (Phase 3) you will receive up to 90% profit split payout after each trading period of 10 to 30 days. Over each accounting period 65% of BigShortGroup Traders make profits. Depending on your strategy and ability you will either be one of them or not.

What happens once I have made my payment?

Once payment is made, our accounts team will open an account for you with your selected broker and initial balance. You will receive an email with login information and MT5 installation link. New accounts will be delivered normally within a few hours during business days (Monday to Friday).
If you will choose BigShortGroup as your broker, you will receive an account immediately as processing has been fully automated. We kindly ask you to read your Terms of Use document again carefully before you start trading. You can start trading your account at any time but latest within 14 days from the purchase date.

What trading platforms can I use?

With BigShortGroup, you can trade using MT4. Raw Spreads starting from 0 pips and 0 Commissions – BigShortGroup Markets trading terminal has been designed to offer a technical platform for BigShortGroup Traders only.
This means you get the absolute best trading conditions on the market. Instant account opening – Start trading straight-away.

Can I use EA or robots?

BigShortGroup and its investors are mostly looking for real traders who can trade based on their own analysis and don’t rely on EA’s or trading robots. However, since our business is to find profitable traders, an exception for EA’s and trading robots might be granted by our Risk Team. In order to get such exception, please contact our Customer Support Team.
Please remember that showing proper risk management is one of the key values we look for in our traders.

How can I withdraw my profits?

Profit split payouts will be processed within 1-3 business days upon approved phase 2 or phase 3 trading period.

When will my share of profits be paid?

All profit split payouts are processed automatically and paid to your account with a preferred payment method you have chosen after completing the BSG Trading Challenge and Evaluation.
For profit split withdrawals, we have 4 options: Wire transfer (account must be under trader’s own name) PayPal PaySafe (Skrill, Neteller…) Bitcoin transfer
